Sometimes when an acquired gimp is acclimating to its new surroundings, it can develop aggressive tendencies, demonstrating occasional non-compliance - Even a well-trained gimp that has been volunteered for service can exhibit this behavior.

This is known in the gimp cultivating industry as being a “brat”. The gimp is attempting to develop a strategy where it can influence its controllers to gain whatever temporary advantage it can utilize.

When this happens, it's important to establish dominance over the gimp immediately, and teach it that the best and only “strategy” is to endure whatever its controllers throw at it.

First, the gimp is taught not to resist, using various techniques to demonstrate - sometimes forcefully - that the gimp is completely helpless and at the mercy of its master. After that reality sinks in, the gimp is then tested to see just how much it can take. If it complies, it is rewarded. This gimp also might learn a second lesson: Sometimes the reward is just a bit too much to handle.
